Dear Daughter πΉ❤️
Dear Gianna,
As I sit down to write this letter, my heart is heavy with emotions — love, pride, longing, and hope. There’s so much I want to say to you, and I hope that one day, when you’re older and you read this, you’ll understand just how much you mean to me.
Life has a funny way of unfolding. When I dreamed about becoming a father, I imagined being there for every bedtime story, every scraped knee, every school event, and every precious moment that life had to offer. I wanted to be your superhero — the one who’d always be there, holding your hand and guiding you through life. But sometimes, life takes us down paths we never expected.
Your mom and I may not be together anymore, but that doesn’t change the fact that you are the greatest blessing I have ever received. Being apart from you is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to face. Every day, I carry you in my heart. Every step I take, every decision I make — it’s all for you.
I want you to know that love is not defined by proximity. Love is in the small things — the phone calls, the video chats, the bedtime stories told from miles away, and the promises I make to myself every single day to build a better life for us. Love is in the sacrifices, the long hours, and the dreams I chase, knowing that each step forward brings me closer to creating a future where you’ll have everything you need and more.
Some days are tougher than others. I won’t lie to you — there are nights I lie awake, missing your laughter and the way your tiny arms wrap around my neck when you hug me. There are mornings I wake up wishing I could hear your little footsteps running toward me. But what keeps me going is the thought of you — your beautiful smile, your bright eyes, and the incredible young girl you’re growing into.
Gianna, you are my driving force. Every dream I have, every goal I set, is rooted in my desire to see you happy and proud. I want you to know that even though I’m not always there physically, my love for you knows no bounds. Distance can never change that.
To any father out there who finds themselves in a situation like mine, I want you to know this: Being apart from your child doesn’t make you any less of a father. What makes a father is showing up in every way you can — whether that’s through a call, a message, or simply by being someone they can look up to, even from afar. It’s about taking responsibility, holding yourself accountable, and never giving up on the bond you share.
To the dads who feel the weight of separation, I say this: Keep pushing. Your child needs you. Even if you’re not there every day, they feel your love. Make every moment count. Show them that distance is just a test, not a barrier.
Gianna, my sweet girl, I promise to always be here for you. I may not be able to tuck you in every night, but I will always be your biggest supporter. I’ll cheer for you from wherever I am. I’ll celebrate your victories and hold you close in spirit when things get tough. I’ll work tirelessly to create a life where you can chase your own dreams, knowing your dad has your back every step of the way.
I believe in you more than anything in this world. You are strong, kind, and full of so much potential. Don’t ever let anyone dim your light. Whenever you feel lost or unsure, remember that you come from a long line of fighters. You are my daughter, and that makes you unstoppable.
One day, we’ll look back at these moments, and they’ll be a distant memory. Until then, I’ll keep pushing forward, fueled by the love I have for you. I’ll build a life that makes you proud — a life that shows you that no matter what happens, love, responsibility, and perseverance are what define us.
I love you more than words could ever say.
Forever your dad,
BOND.
She's so pretty π
