How Many People Get Motivated — and How I Found My Own Spark ⚡
Haha!Motivation is a funny thing. Some days, it feels like an unstoppable force pushing you forward. Other days, it’s like trying to light a fire in the rain. But what really drives people to keep going, even when the odds are stacked against them?
For me, the journey to where I am today has been shaped by moments of doubt, dreams that refused to die, and a deep desire to build something greater — for myself, for my daughter Gianna, and for the future I envision with LA'BOND. But I know I’m not alone. Motivation comes in different forms, and each person finds their spark in unique ways.
The Power of Purpose
One of the biggest motivators in life is purpose. It gives meaning to the hard days and fuels the energy we need to push through challenges. For some, purpose comes from family — the drive to give their loved ones a better life. For others, it’s about proving to themselves that they can rise above their circumstances.
In my case, purpose is a mix of both. Every time I feel like giving up, I think about the life I want to build for Gianna. I picture the school I dream of creating back home — LA'BOND CREST ACADEMY — and the music label I want to build, LA'BOND DYNASTY. These visions aren’t just dreams; they’re reminders of why I started this journey in the first place.
Facing Challenges Head-On
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that life will test you. When I applied to work as a caregiver in the UK, I knew the process wouldn’t be easy. The waiting, the setbacks, the uncertainty — they all tested my patience and resilience. But every challenge was a lesson in disguise.
Motivation, I realized, isn’t about always feeling strong. It’s about getting up after every setback. It’s about taking one step forward, even when the road feels endless. And sometimes, it’s about trusting the process, even when the results aren’t immediate.
Drawing Strength from Others
Another powerful source of motivation is the people we surround ourselves with. Whether it’s family, friends, or even strangers who share their stories, seeing others push through hardships can light a spark in us.
I’ve been inspired by people who left everything behind to chase a better future. Their stories remind me that every great achievement starts with a single step. When I feel lost, I think of those who paved the way before me — and that gives me the strength to keep going.
Dreaming Big, Starting Small
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that motivation grows when we break big dreams into smaller, achievable goals. When I first dreamed of starting LA'BOND, the vision felt overwhelming. But little by little, I started taking steps: designing the logo, planning the academy, and even imagining my first song as BOND.
Every small win became a building block for the next step. And with each step, my motivation grew stronger. If you’re chasing a dream, don’t wait for the perfect moment — start where you are, with what you have. Momentum builds motivation.
Embracing the Journey
Motivation isn’t about never feeling tired or discouraged. It’s about embracing the journey — the ups, the downs, and everything in between. Every stumble is a lesson. Every delay is a reminder to be patient. And every dream is proof that we’re alive and daring to hope.
To anyone reading this, I want to say: Don’t give up. Whether your motivation comes from family, ambition, or proving to yourself that you can do it — hold onto it. Your journey is your own, but you’re never alone.
As I stand on the edge of a new chapter, I remind myself daily that every great story starts with a dream. And every dream is worth chasing.
Here’s to staying motivated. Here’s to chasing dreams. And here’s to never giving up.π₯
